Clarity in Photomanipulations

Some of you, well I noticed a majority of people on dA prefer heavy manipulated photomanipulations.

Its the trend or something? Fairies, with wings, rainbows here and there, ponies in the background, and other tra-la-la elements.

Most of you missed something: A simple photomanipulation is the most effective of all photomanipulations. I love them, but I don't see them being appreciated. Take a look at some of them I've compiled. Do they appeal to you?

As you can see, most of them are monotone or duotone. Why? Harmony and balance is the key. Too many variations of colour in a work distracts the viewer.

Most of them are from a bunch of same artists. Now, can you find more?

This feature is solely my opinion, if you like glittery fairies, then Its your preference. Cheers.
